Important things to know about accessing NDIS support
Eligibility
To access NDIS support, you must be an Australian citizen under 65 with a permanent disability that significantly impacts daily life.
NDIS Plans
Every participant develops an individual plan based on their goals, needs, and circumstances. The plan outlines what funding is allocated.
Plan Management
You can choose how your plan is managed: self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed. Plan managers can help pay providers and manage your budget.
Provider Choice
You can choose between registered and unregistered providers. Registered providers meet NDIS Commission standards and must deliver certain supports.
Service Agreements
It's recommended to have a service agreement with your provider that outlines what supports will be delivered, how, and when.
